March 17, 2018: Part of the Whole

Discover the fossils prevalent in South Central Kentucky! Investigate bones of ancient mastodons, and learn about the prehistoric environment.

April 21, 2018: See What You Can See
10:00am-12 noon

Observe the forest waking up for Spring at Lost River Cave. Create a special journal to log what you find!

June 16, 2018: Colors to Dye For
10:00am-12 noon

Find out what native plants make brilliant colors on fabric! Go home with your own creations.

August 18, 2018: Beneath the Water
10:00am-12 noon

Explore what is beneath the waters! Use nets to find macro invertebrates and microscopes to see them up close!

September 15, 2018: What’s All the Buzz About?

Delve into the life of bees! Learn about hive structure and how bees communicate! Play games based on bee bee-havior!

October 20, 2018: Leave No Trace
10:00am-12 noon

Leave No Trace is a set of outdoor ethics promoting conservation in the outdoors. Acquire the seven principles of Leave No Trace, then practice what you have learned during Great American Campout! All Jr. Naturalists will receive free camping with their families.
