March 9, 2019: Birds of a Feather

There is a method to the madness of migration! What makes birds travel hundreds of miles? Who flies the furthest and who is our year-round neighbor?

April 13, 2019: All about Amphibians

Is it a frog? Is it a newt? Explore the strange and secretive world of amphibians and learn about how they survive the natural world!

June 8, 2019: Flutter by a Butterfly (and other Insects,too!)

Butterflies are complex organisms- there’s a lot more to them than meets the eye!  Learn more about their lives and how they are important pollinators, along with other insect species!

August 17, 2019: Cold-blooded Critters!

Reptiles are one of the most diverse groups in the animal kingdom! Learn all about these scaly creatures and how they adapt to the world around them!

September 14, 2019: They’ll Grow on You

Plants have some of the strangest and most clever adaptations on earth. Discover some of the bizarre plants that call Kentucky and the US their home!

October 19, 2019: Happy Campers

What were those weird sounds last night? Discover nature at the camp ground while learning to protect it during your visit, then practice what you have learned during Great American Campout! All Jr. Naturalists will receive free camping with their families.
